Order z-fold leaflets by 2.30pm Mon–Fri and they are printed and folded the same day, then delivered the next working day anywhere on the UK mainland. Timetables, venue maps and campaign literature all have a date they must be in hands by, and the z-fold's single-pull opening makes it the format people actually read on the move. The dates at the top of this page are worked out on your clock and already skip weekends and bank holidays.
Z-folds print full colour, single or double sided, on silk or uncoated stock from 100gsm to 400gsm silk, on A3, A4, A5 or A6 sheets or a custom size. Order from 50 up to 10,000, or ask for a custom quantity. Every panel is the same width, so setup is the simplest of the folded range: a print-ready PDF at the flat size with 3 mm bleed, three panels on each side. This product is upload-only rather than designed online.

Z-folds are printed on our London presses the same afternoon, then run through the folder so the two opposing creases land square before the finished leaflets are boxed.

The next-day rule
Next-day delivery needs your order in, and your artwork approved, by 2.30pm Mon–Fri for delivery the next working day. Production is scheduled from your approval, not from the time you order, so orders placed or artwork approved after that, or at weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched on the next working day and arrive the working day after. Every order gets a free artwork proof within the hour; changes to the artwork itself are a priced service per file, back within the hour too.

How should z-fold artwork be laid out?
Divide each side of the flat sheet into three equal panels and add 3 mm bleed. Remember the folding sequence: with an accordion fold like this, the front cover is the outer right-hand panel on one side of the sheet, and the back cover is the outer panel directly behind it on the other side, so check the panel order against the product's template rather than reading the flat file left to right. Keep text about 5 mm clear of both fold lines.
Which sheet size should I choose for a pocket z-fold?
An A4 sheet folded in three is the standard pocket leaflet and slips into a jacket or a rack. A3 gives a bigger map or timetable that still folds to a handy size, while A5 and A6 sheets make compact three-panel pieces for tills and goody bags. Custom sizes are available when the design needs a different proportion.
What paper works for a z-fold that will be handled a lot?
For a map or timetable that lives in a pocket, 130gsm to 170gsm silk folds flat and survives repeated opening. 200gsm to 300gsm stocks give a firmer leaflet for a reception rack and are creased before folding. Uncoated paper from 100gsm to 350gsm is the choice for something that needs to be written on, such as a form or a checklist.
Can z-folds be designed in the online designer?
No. Z-folds are an upload-artwork product, so you need a print-ready PDF ready to go before 2.30pm. The equal panel widths make the file easy to build in any layout program, and the product page has a template showing the panel order.
What happens to a z-fold order placed after 2.30pm?
It is printed and folded on the next working day and delivered the working day after that; orders placed at a weekend or on a bank holiday follow the same rule. In London you can shorten that with Tomorrow Delivery at checkout, which puts the job first in the queue on the next working day and sends a courier the same day, priced like the same-day courier.
Does next-day delivery on z-folds cost extra?
The delivery speed does; the leaflets do not. Next-day is priced at checkout for your address, and the z-fold price is the same as any other day. Standard delivery is free to UK mainland addresses on orders over £25 (£2.95 below that) and takes 3-5 working days of ordering.
