A gate fold is the reveal piece, and reveals tend to have dates attached: the launch event, the viewing day, the opening night. Order by 2.30pm Mon–Fri and your gate folds are printed and folded the same day, then delivered the next working day to any UK mainland address. Miss the cut-off and they print on the next working day and arrive the one after; the dates at the top of this page show exactly which days those are for you.
Gate folds print full colour on silk or uncoated stock from 100gsm to 400gsm, single or double sided, with 170gsm and 250gsm silk the usual picks for a piece that has to open like a pair of doors. Sizes run from A6 to A3 sheets, plus a 396 × 210 mm format and A4 and A3 strip options, or a custom size. Quantities go from 50 to 10,000. Upload a print-ready PDF with 3 mm bleed; this product is not available in the online designer.

The next-day rule
Next-day delivery needs your order in, and your artwork approved, by 2.30pm Mon–Fri for delivery the next working day. Production is scheduled from your approval, not from the time you order, so orders placed or artwork approved after that, or at weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched on the next working day and arrive the working day after. Every order gets a free artwork proof within the hour; changes to the artwork itself are a priced service per file, back within the hour too.

How do I set up gate fold artwork for a next-day order?
The two door panels are each a little under half the width of the centre spread, so they meet cleanly without overlapping when closed. Download the fold template from the product page, place the reveal across the full inner width and keep text about 5 mm clear of both fold lines, then export a PDF with 3 mm bleed. A file built to the template goes straight to press without a query.
What is the 396 × 210 mm gate fold size?
It is a landscape sheet proportioned specifically for the gate fold: the two doors each cover half of the inner spread and meet in the centre when closed, giving a tall, narrow closed piece that opens to a wide panorama. It suits property particulars and menus. The A4 and A3 strip formats work the same way on a longer sheet.
Which paper suits a gate fold?
A stock with some body: 170gsm silk closes flat and feels substantial, 250gsm and 300gsm silk give a premium menu or launch piece, and 350gsm or 400gsm silk turns it into a card. Heavier weights are creased before folding so the doors sit square. Very light papers can look flimsy in this format, though 100gsm to 130gsm are available for high-volume handouts.
How many gate folds can I order online?

Do you deliver gate folds at the weekend?
No. Next-day means the next working day, so a gate fold order placed on Friday before 2.30pm arrives on Monday, or on Tuesday if the Monday is a bank holiday. The page calculates the arrival day for you, so what it shows already takes weekends and bank holidays into account. Plan a Saturday launch around a Friday delivery.
