Next-Day Foam Boards
Photo boards for a funeral on Friday, a giant cheque for a Thursday handover, courtroom exhibits for a hearing: foam board is nearly always ordered against a time that will not move. Order by 2.30pm Mon–Fri and your boards are printed and trimmed the same day, then delivered the next working day to any address on the UK mainland. Later orders, and anything placed over a weekend or bank holiday, print on the next working day and arrive the working day after.
Foam board is a 5 mm sheet of lightweight foam faced with smooth white paper liners, so an A0 board lifts with one hand and a set for an exhibition fits under an arm. We print direct to the board, single or double sided, in any size from A7 to A0 or a custom millimetre size, from one board to ten. It is an indoor board. Upload a print-ready PDF with 3 mm bleed at the finished size; there is no online designer.

How next-day foam boards work
Order by 2.30pm
Configure, upload your print-ready PDF (or finish a design online) and pay by 2.30pm Mon–Fri. Choose next-day delivery at checkout. Approve your artwork by the same time: production is scheduled from your approval.
Printed the same day
Your foam boards are printed direct to 5 mm foamboard on the flatbed in our London workshop the same afternoon, then trimmed to their finished size on the cutter.

A tracked courier delivers the next working day anywhere on the UK mainland. Weekends and bank holidays are skipped, and the dates above already account for that.

The next-day rule
Next-day delivery needs your order in, and your artwork approved, by 2.30pm Mon–Fri for delivery the next working day. Production is scheduled from your approval, not from the time you order, so orders placed or artwork approved after that, or at weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched on the next working day and arrive the working day after. Every order gets a free artwork proof within the hour; changes to the artwork itself are a priced service per file, back within the hour too.
Missed the 2.30pm cutoff but still need it on the next working day (that is tomorrow when you order Monday to Thursday)? Choose Tomorrow Delivery at checkout in London: priority production first thing on the next working day and a tracked courier the same day, priced like same-day.
What counts
- Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding England and Wales bank holidays; the print room is in London.
- Next-day delivery covers the UK mainland; Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland rates and timings are shown at checkout.
- Print-ready artwork (PDF, 3 mm bleed) or a finished online design must be with us by the cut-off, because production starts as soon as you pay.
- Not in a hurry? Standard delivery is free to UK mainland addresses on orders over £25 and takes 3-5 working days.
Next-day foam boards FAQs
Can foam board be used outside for an event?
No. The paper liners absorb moisture, so foam board softens in rain or damp. It is the right board for anything indoors: a wedding welcome sign on an easel, a photo collage at a wake, a timeline in a courtroom. If your board must stand outside, order Correx for a short-term sign or Dibond for something permanent; both are on the next-day service too.
Which sizes and quantities can be printed next day?
Anything from A7 up to A0 from the size menu, or your own width and height typed in millimetres with the price updating live. A giant cheque, a table plan or a press-conference backdrop all fit within the A0 sheet. Quantities run from one board to ten in the configurator, with larger runs quoted.
Our table plan needs to be read from both sides of the easel: is that possible next day?
Yes. A table plan or a freestanding easel display is usually seen from both sides of the room, so choose double sided and upload the two faces as separate pages in your PDF. Both sides print before the board goes to the trimmer, and the extra pass does not cost a day, so it still leaves in the same-day run when the order and artwork are in by 2.30pm Mon–Fri.
How does a rigid foam board survive a courier overnight?
Boards travel flat in a protected parcel, and foam board is light, so even a full set of A0 boards is easy to carry into the venue when it lands. That parcel is why next-day delivery is priced at checkout for your address rather than quoted here; the boards themselves cost the same as on any other day. Unpack them on arrival and store them flat and dry.
A funeral photo board often has faces close to the edge: is that a problem for next day?
It can be, so keep faces, names and any other text at least 10 mm inside the trim when you build the file: a print-ready PDF at the finished board size with 3 mm bleed, in CMYK at 300 dpi, uploaded before 2.30pm Mon–Fri. Photos placed too close to the edge risk being trimmed into on a board this size, and there is no online designer to catch it for you, so it is worth a last look before you upload.
A wedding is on Saturday: what is the last day I can order the welcome sign?
Thursday, by 2.30pm, so the board is printed that day and arrives on Friday, giving you a spare day before the ceremony. Next-day delivery only runs on working days, so an order placed on the Friday itself would print then but not land until Monday, after the wedding. Over a weekend, orders go into Monday's print run for delivery on Tuesday, which is why a Saturday date needs the order placed the Thursday before, not the Friday.
