A bull dog booklet is a set of loose printed sheets held by a sprung metal clip, so the pages can be pulled out, reordered or replaced right up to the meeting. Order by 2.30pm Mon–Fri and the sheets are printed, collated and clipped the same afternoon, then delivered the next working day to any address on the UK mainland. Miss the cut-off, or order at a weekend or on a bank holiday, and they print on the next working day and arrive the working day after.
Each set runs from 4 to 100 pages in A4, A5 or a custom size, printed single or double sided in full colour. Pick from 100gsm to 250gsm in silk or uncoated: the lighter sheets suit a working draft, the heavier ones keep a client-facing set stiff and flat. The next-day rule
Next-day delivery needs your order in, and your artwork approved, by 2.30pm Mon–Fri for delivery the next working day. Production is scheduled from your approval, not from the time you order, so orders placed or artwork approved after that, or at weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched on the next working day and arrive the working day after. Every order gets a free artwork proof within the hour; changes to the artwork itself are a priced service per file, back within the hour too.

Why choose a bull dog booklet when I need something printed for tomorrow?
Because nothing is fixed. The clip holds the sheets along one edge and releases them by hand, so if a figure changes overnight you swap one page rather than reprint the set. It is the binding we suggest for drafts, review copies and anything that will be marked up in the room, and it needs no drying or curing time before it can leave the print room.
How many pages and which paper can a bull dog set take?
Between 4 and 100 pages per set. All eleven stocks on this page are available: 100gsm, 120gsm, 160gsm, 200gsm and 250gsm uncoated, and 100gsm, 130gsm, 150gsm, 170gsm, 200gsm and 250gsm silk. A thicker sheet makes a loose set easier to handle, so 160gsm uncoated or 170gsm silk is a sensible middle ground; 250gsm suits a short set of presentation boards or swatches.
How should I set up artwork for a clipped set?
One PDF at the finished size with 3 mm bleed, pages in reading order, one page per sheet side. Keep headings and page numbers a little way in from the edge the clip will grip, usually the top, because the jaws cover a narrow strip. If you are printing double sided, remember the back of each sheet is the next page in the file. The file must be uploaded with the order; we do not offer a designer for booklets.
Can I order a single bull dog booklet for next-day delivery?
Yes. The quantity list starts at 1 and runs through 10, 25, 50, 100 and 150, with a custom figure if you need something in between or above. One copy for a client sign-off, or a dozen for a board, is treated exactly like a larger run: same paper choice, same sizes, same next-working-day delivery when the order is in before the cut-off.
What has to be done by 2.30pm for the sets to be delivered next working day?
Two things: the order paid and the PDF attached to it. Production starts from the moment both are in, so an order that is placed at lunchtime but has its file added at four o'clock is treated as an after-cut-off order. In that case the sheets print on the following working day and arrive the working day after that. The dates on this page update with the clock, so check them before you commit.
Do you deliver bull dog booklets next day outside London?
Yes, to any UK mainland address, and the booklet price is the same wherever it is going. The next-day service is chosen and priced at checkout once you have entered the delivery address.
