Custom trading cards printed in-house at the standard 63.5 x 88.9 mm size on 350 or 400gsm silk or Invercote board, every card a different front with one shared back, cut with rounded corners, collated into sets and banded, priced per set from a single set to a thousand. Please supply your artwork as a print-ready PDF with 3mm bleed and no crop marks (we add our own). Make sure all colours are CMYK and imagery is 300dpi.
- • File Format: Print-ready PDF, one card per page, in the order you want each set collated
- • Backs: The shared back as the last page, or as a separate single-page PDF
- • Bleed: 3 mm on every edge, with names, numbers and borders at least 3 mm inside the cut
- • Corners: Every card is cut with rounded corners; a border narrower than 4 mm will be clipped at the corners
- • Photographs: Placed at 300 DPI at the finished size, with permission to use them
- • Colour: CMYK; a Pantone colour prints as its closest CMYK match

Northern Ireland, the Highlands & Islands, the Isle of Wight, offshore and international addresses are priced live at checkout, as are unusually heavy orders: over 15kg is £14.95 whatever the order value. Flat prints bigger than A4, such as A3 posters or 25 cm stickers, travel in a larger, board-backed pack: paid delivery services carry a packing charge for it, shown at checkout, and free standard delivery stays free. Very large pieces (any side over 120 cm, such as A0 boards) go by courier rather than post, at the courier price shown at checkout for each service. Pieces over 150 cm, or over 100 cm both ways, are beyond the parcel couriers: they travel with a specialist courier at the rate shown at checkout, or we split the artwork into smaller panels for you free of charge. Every order is covered by the Presswift Guarantee: printed to the print preview you approve and the specification you choose, or put right. If what arrives is damaged, short or does not match the approved print preview, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number, photos of the problem and a count of the affected copies, and keep the copies unused while we look. Because every job is printed to your own artwork and specification, we cannot take a return simply because you have changed your mind, and errors carried through the print preview you approved, or colour and trim variation within normal print tolerance, are not print faults. That is what the free print preview is for: check the colours, wording and layout on the print preview and nothing goes to press until you are happy with it.
What size is a trading card?
The standard trading card is 63.5 x 88.9 mm, which is 2.5 x 3.5 inches, the same size as a poker playing card. It is the size standard card sleeves, nine-pocket binder pages and card tins are made for, so a set printed here fits the collector's kit straight away.
Can every card be different?
Yes. Supply one card per page and we collate each set in your page order. A set of 20 different players with one shared back costs the same as a set of 20 identical cards, and a set where the backs differ too is fine as well.
Which finish looks like a real trading card?
Gloss lamination on 350gsm silk. It gives the shine and the slick, wipe-clean surface of a shop-bought card and keeps photographs vivid. Matt lamination gives a softer, fingerprint-free surface that photographs well under lights. Both are optional and the price updates as you choose.
Can I use photographs of the players?
Yes, as long as you have permission to use them. For a youth team or a school that usually means the club's or the school's own photo consent. Supply the photographs placed in your artwork at 300 DPI; a phone photograph is fine if it is sharp and well lit.
How small an order can I place?
One set. A single set suits a copy to check or a one-off gift; a club usually orders a set per player plus spares, and the price per set falls from five sets and again at 10, 25, 50 and 100.
Do you print packs or boxes?
Not on this page. Sets come collated and banded. For foil packs, a tuck box or a collector's tin, ask for a quote with your set and we will price them alongside it.

About Trading Cards
Trading cards are collectable sets at the standard 63.5 x 88.9 mm (2.5 x 3.5 inch) size, the one card sleeves, binders and tins are made for: a card per player for a grassroots football club's season, a card per pupil for a school leavers' set, a card per character or product for a brand, artist or game. Every front is different and the back is shared, and we print them one card per page from your PDF, cut with rounded corners, collate each set in your page order and band it.
The board is 350gsm silk by default, heavier than a playing card so the card feels like the real thing in the hand, with 400gsm silk for a rigid premium card and Invercote 300gsm for the brightest white and the crispest colour. Gloss lamination gives the classic trading card shine and a wipe-clean surface; matt lamination gives a softer, fingerprint-free finish that suits photography. Both are optional.
