Foamex signs are the workhorse of shop, office and exhibition signage: a rigid white PVC foam board with a smooth matt-satin face that takes print beautifully and shrugs off the weather. We print yours in-house on a Canon Arizona UV flatbed, so the inks are scratch-resistant, water-resistant and colourfast, then cut every sheet on a Zund flatbed cutter. Choose 3mm for wall-mounted and indoor signs or 5mm where you want extra stiffness across larger panels. Sizes run from A4 to A0, plus 600 x 400mm, 800 x 600mm, 1200 x 800mm and any custom size in millimetres, single or double sided, from one sign to fifty.

Because every job is printed to your own artwork and specification, we cannot take a return simply because you have changed your mind, and errors carried through the proof you approved, or colour and trim variation within normal print tolerance, are not print faults. That is what the free digital proof is for — check the colours, wording and layout on the proof and nothing goes to press until you are happy with it.
Should I choose 3mm or 5mm Foamex?
3mm covers most wall-mounted and indoor signs and keeps the cost down. Pick 5mm for larger panels, exhibition boards or anything that will be handled often, because the extra thickness resists flexing and keeps a big sheet flatter on the wall.
Can Foamex signs go outside?
Yes. PVC foam board is weatherproof and lasts several years outdoors, and the UV-cured ink is water-resistant and colourfast. Fix it with screws through drilled holes or with adhesive pads, and choose 5mm for larger outdoor panels so wind has less to flex.
How do I add fixing holes?
Choose a Hole finish and a to-scale picker appears. Pick a preset such as four corners or two top corners, drag holes into place or type millimetre positions, and set 6, 8 or 10mm diameter. Holes sit at least 12mm from the edge. You can also mark them on your artwork as magenta circles on a HOLES layer.
Do I need lamination on a Foamex sign?
Not usually. The UV-cured print is already scratch- and water-resistant and the board wipes clean. Add matt or gloss large-format lamination when a sign will be wiped down daily, such as a menu board or a kitchen notice, or when you want a specific gloss or matt finish.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Choose Custom on the product page and enter your width and height in millimetres; the price updates live. We can print and cut any size up to 1220 x 2440mm, so long runs of wayfinding or a full exhibition wall panel are no problem.
How should I set up my artwork?
Supply a print-ready PDF at 300dpi in CMYK with 3mm bleed on every edge, and keep text and logos at least 10mm inside the trim. For double-sided signs, send both sides as separate pages. If you would rather we set the artwork for you, just ask when you order.

About Foamex Signs
Foamex is the name most people use for PVC foam board: a white plastic sheet with a smooth matt-satin surface that holds fine text and solid colour equally well. It is rigid enough to hang flat on a wall without bowing, light enough for one person to carry an A0 panel, and weatherproof for indoor and outdoor use, lasting several years outside. The face wipes clean and it takes screws and adhesive pads. We print it in 3mm and 5mm; 3mm suits most wall-mounted signs, while 5mm gives larger panels and exhibition boards a firmer, flatter feel.
Every Foamex sign is printed direct to the board in our Battersea workshop on a Canon Arizona UV flatbed. UV-cured ink bonds to the surface rather than sitting on a film, so it resists scratches and rain and stays colourfast in a shop window. The printed sheet then goes to our Zund flatbed cutter, which trims it to size and, in the same pass, cuts rounded corners and fixing holes where you placed them with the hole picker. Order single or double sided, and add matt or gloss lamination if you want a wipe-clean face for menu boards.
