Order by 2.30pm Mon–Fri for next-working-day delivery

Next-Day Place Cards

The seating plan is never quite finished: a guest cancels, a partner is added, two names trade tables. Order place cards by 2.30pm Mon–Fri and the corrected set is printed the same day and delivered on the next working day to any UK mainland address, wherever the venue is. Order after the cut-off, or at a weekend or on a bank holiday, and the cards print on the next working day and arrive the working day after that; the dates on this page show which.

Place cards print on silk card in 250gsm, 300gsm, 350gsm or 400gsm, or uncoated in 250gsm, 300gsm or 350gsm for a matt surface. Sizes include a 90 × 90 mm folded tent card that stands on the setting, plus A6, A5 and A4 and custom sizes, single or double sided, in tiers from 10 to 200 or a custom count. Design the names online or upload a print-ready PDF with 3 mm bleed; the card price is unchanged by the delivery speed.

How next-day place cards work

Order by 2.30pm

Configure, upload your print-ready PDF (or finish a design online) and pay by 2.30pm Mon–Fri. Choose next-day delivery at checkout. Approve your artwork by the same time: production is scheduled from your approval.

Printed the same day

Your place cards are printed in our London print room the same afternoon, one name per card on the silk or uncoated stock you chose, then trimmed and creased where needed.

Delivered the next working day

A tracked courier delivers the next working day anywhere on the UK mainland. Weekends and bank holidays are skipped, and the dates above already account for that.

The next-day rule

Next-day delivery needs your order in, and your artwork approved, by 2.30pm Mon–Fri for delivery the next working day. Production is scheduled from your approval, not from the time you order, so orders placed or artwork approved after that, or at weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched on the next working day and arrive the working day after. Every order gets a free artwork proof within the hour; changes to the artwork itself are a priced service per file, back within the hour too.

Missed the 2.30pm cutoff but still need it on the next working day (that is tomorrow when you order Monday to Thursday)? Choose Tomorrow Delivery at checkout in London: priority production first thing on the next working day and a tracked courier the same day, priced like same-day.

What counts

  • Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding England and Wales bank holidays; the print room is in London.
  • Next-day delivery covers the UK mainland; Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland rates and timings are shown at checkout.
  • Print-ready artwork (PDF, 3 mm bleed) or a finished online design must be with us by the cut-off, because production starts as soon as you pay.
  • Not in a hurry? Standard delivery is free to UK mainland addresses on orders over £25 and takes 3-5 working days.

Next-day place cards FAQs

Do next-day place cards come folded so they stand up?

Choose the 90 × 90 mm folded option and each card is printed and creased so it folds into a tent that stands on the place setting. The A6, A5 and A4 options are single cards printed to the size you choose, for laying on a plate or tucking into a holder. Creasing is done in the same afternoon as printing, so the folded format carries no extra day.

Which card weights are available for place cards next day?

Silk in 250gsm, 300gsm, 350gsm and 400gsm, and uncoated in 250gsm, 300gsm and 350gsm. For a tent card that has to stand all evening, 350gsm or 400gsm is the sensible choice; 250gsm suits flat cards in a holder. Uncoated stocks have a soft matt surface and take ink from a fountain pen if you plan to add handwritten touches.

How do I print place cards for sixty guests without mixing up any of the names?

Build one card in the online designer, complete with your chosen stock and layout, then step through the guest list swapping in each name and table number in turn. If you would rather set the whole run yourself, upload a single PDF with one place card per page, at the finished size with 3 mm bleed, arranged in the order you plan to lay them out. Either way, get the file finished and paid for before 2.30pm Mon–Fri: printing starts as soon as payment clears, so a spelling cannot be corrected once the run is underway.

Is there still time to get corrected place cards for tomorrow if a guest cancels this morning?

Yes, as long as the corrected file is ordered by 2.30pm Mon–Fri: the set prints that same day and a courier delivers it on the next working day to any UK mainland address. Miss 2.30pm, or place the order over a weekend or bank holiday, and the set prints on the next working day instead, arriving the day after that. The dates shown at the top of this page are worked out from today's date, so you can check which timetable applies before you finalise the change.

Does next-day delivery reach a venue outside London?

Yes. The next-working-day service covers every UK mainland address, so a country-house hotel or a rural church hall is treated the same as a city venue. Enter the delivery address at checkout, where the delivery speed is priced for that address. The place cards themselves cost the same wherever they are going.

Can I have the place cards sent straight to the venue?

Yes. Enter the venue as the delivery address and add the event name and a contact for the wedding coordinator or events team, so the parcel is put aside for you. If the venue cannot accept a delivery the day before, send them to yourself instead; a home or office address anywhere on the UK mainland gets the same next-working-day timetable.
